2019 Genesis Open One-and-done Fantasy Golf Picks

With the PGA Tour deciding to offer a one-and-done fantasy golf platform, as well the increasing number of private one-and-done leagues, we here at Golf News Net will offer weekly one-and-done fantasy golf picks separate from our weekly fantasy golf rankings and picks.

We began with the 2018 Safeway Open, continue this week at the 2019 Genesis Open  and will continue through to the Tour Championship in Atlanta in August 2019, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

How about 48-year-old Phil Mickelson?! Lefty picks up PGA Tour win No. 44 in a Monday finale at Pebble Beach, closing it out with a blemish-free 65 to win over Paul Casey. Beautiful. And the win comes after a thud of an MC in Phoenix and added Riviera to get some more starts.

Now we move to the Los Angeles area and Riviera. Tiger's hosting, and most of the world top 50 is in the field. Lots of names to pick from in one-and-done this week.

2019 Genesis Open One and Done picks

  • Phil Mickelson -- T-2, MC, WIN in his last three. Could be tired. Could win again.

  • Dustin Johnson -- Loves this place and frequently clobbers it. Again, could be tired.

  • Bubba Watson -- Multi-time winner here and T-4 in his last start in Phoenix.

  • Jordan Spieth -- A big ole weekend fade from Spieth, but if you're looking for a parachute...

  • Tiger Woods -- DO NOT USE. He does not play well here historically.

My pick this week will be Bubba Watson. It's the no-brainer pick, and sometimes, that's the right pick.
